Information regarding the tryout, offer, and club team commit calendar:

In preparing for club tryouts, we strongly suggest that you keep your club options open, try out with multiple clubs, and then evaluate your offers.  Tryouts cannot take place at any club until the official NCVA tryout weekend and any offers cannot be made until after tryouts (rules slightly different for returning players).  Your official commitments to clubs cannot be made until on the Wednesday after tryouts at which point payments can be made.  Until then, you are not committed to any club, no matter what a club may tell you.  Some clubs are making early offers which pressure you to commit to them early.  These offers are unethical and violate NCVA regulations and are meant to prevent you from trying out with other clubs.  Be aware that committing early limits your options.  Do not fall for these high pressure and unethical tactics.

Once you have offers after tryouts, some things to consider in accepting an offer are things like total cost (including tournaments and uniforms), club location, club integrity, and most importantly ... coaching.  Make sure you know who would be coaching you, what their experience is in coaching, and what their track record is in coaching.  We want you to make an informed decision and not be pressured.
