The Eversport Volleyball spring league consists of 12 one-hour sessions and are open to players of all levels in 5th to 8th grade. Previous Eversport leagues have consisted of 9 sessions, but every season the players ask for more sessions, so we’ve extended the number of sessions to 12. Eversport Volleyball welcomes kids who have never played before, kids who are playing high level club volleyball, and kids of all levels in between. At the first session, players are evaluated for skill level (beginner, intermediate, advanced) so that they can be placed in a league with players of similar level. Then teams are created within each skill level and those teams play each other in refereed games in sessions 2 through 10. Finally all teams participate in playoffs in sessions 11 and 12. On the registration form, it is possible to request to be on the same team as up to two friends, and Eversport will try its best to fulfill your request.
Spring league sessions are on Tuesdays and Fridays at Chaboya Middle School. Your team will be scheduled for one hour between 4pm and possibly 8pm depending on how many players are registered. (Note for Chaboya track athletes: you would have your Eversport league games AFTER track practice and league dates do not conflict with any of your currently scheduled meets.) Your scheduled time can vary from week to week, but the full schedule will be published well in advance, probably around April 20. Players will be assigned a one hour slot for evaluations in session 1, which might be as early as 3PM. Here are the dates of the sessions:
April 14 (evaluations), 24, 28
May 1, 5, 8, 15, 19, 22, 26, 29 (playoffs)
June 2 (playoffs)
Note that we initially cap the number of players in the league at 64. However, if demand is higher, we can (and have in the past) increase the cap. For every additional 32 players above 64, we will increase the cap and add an hour of league time. If the number of registered players reaches 96, then we increase the number of accepted players to 96. The same happens if we reach 128, and so on. For example, if 75 players are registered, the last 11 will be waitlisted. If 100 players are registered, the last 4 players will be waitlisted. If league sessions start and you are still on the waitlist, your fees will be returned in full.
Eversport Volleyball will also be offering a spring clinic (10 sessions) for players of all levels. The clinic sessions take place from 3pm to 4pm on the same days as sessions 2 to 11 of the league. Please see the clinic page for full details. Doing both the clinic and league will allow you to improve your game much faster. You can register for both the clinic and league if interested.
If you are only interested in the league, for registration and payment by Friday, April 3, the cost to join the league is $290 for cash/check/Zelle ($300 for Venmo). This includes all 12 league sessions, an Eversport Volleyball t-shirt, some coaching, and refereed games. After April 3, the cost to join the league increases to $320 for cash/check/Zelle ($330 for Venmo).
If you are interested in both the clinic AND league, for registration and payment by Friday, April 3, the cost is $515 for cash/check/Zelle ($535 for Venmo). This includes all 10 clinic sessions, all 12 league sessions, an Eversport Volleyball t-shirt, and individual coaching from team coaches at Chaboya Middle School and Silver Creek High School. After April 3, the cost to attend both the clinic and league increases to $575 for cash/check/Zelle ($595 for Venmo).
